Results Space Auction SY20

Today, TAQA offered 2.5 TWh of capacity for the remainder of Storage Year 2020 during a fixed price auction. The product offered was space-only, and did not include injection or withdrawal rights.

Only a very limited number of bids reached the reserve price of 0.40 €/MWh, therefore the substantial part of the 2.5 TWh of capacity was not allocated to GSB customers.

The auction came about after permission was granted by the Dutch government in August, which enabled Gas Storage Bergermeer to increase its storage capacity to a total maximum capacity of 48.1 TWh this year. See this link for the announcement.
