GSB has a total of 26 TWh of storage capacity available for third party access. From this 26 TWh, 13 TWh has been sold as long-term capacity in the open seasons held in 2011 and 2012. The additional 13 TWh has been sold from September 2014 and onwards on a short-term basis (1-3 years) against a fixed and indexed pricing methodology. This combination of long- and short term capacities resulted in several GSB marketing campaigns as shown in the table below.
Since Storage Year 2017, GSB added an third pricing methodology to its product suite, being the Optimization Agreement (OA). This OA captures the DA-Winter spreads during the summer and shares any additional profits between GSB and capacity contractors against a predefined split up. For more info see Optimization Agreement.
