Green light for TAQA to store more gas in Gas Storage Bergermeer

Gas Storage Bergermeer has been given the green light by the Dutch government to increase its storage capacity. TAQA, the company that is operating the storage facility, applied for permission in 2018 to use the facility at its full design capacity.

On the back of this approval, Gas Storage Bergermeer is planning to market an additional 2.5 TWh of extra space for the balance of this storage year 2020. This would make the total maximum capacity of the storage this year 48.1 TWh.
