GSB AUCTIONS SY23: THE RESULTS

Today TAQA sold all 9.25 TWh offered storage capacity for storage year 2023 during two separate auctions.

The first auction offered 5.25 TWh on an indexed-price basis and applied a reserve multiplier of 1.0 with a minimum SW spread of 2.2 EUR/MWh. This capacity was sold with a cut-off multiplier of 1.27 and a weighted average multiplier of 1.85 for the first year. There was also capacity sold with a tenor of two years for which the weighted average multiplier was 1.35. Overall demand above the reserve multiplier was almost 2 times the capacity on offer.

The second auction offered 4 TWh on a fixed-price basis and applied a reserve price of 2.20 €/SBU. This capacity was sold with a cut-off price of 3.61 €/SBU and a weighted average price of 5.10 €/SBU. Overall demand above the reserve price was more than 4.5 times the capacity on offer.

For storage year 2023, another 4 TWh will be auctioned on the 14th of February 2023 at 11:00 – 11:30 CET with a minimum price of 2.20 €/SBU.
