TAQA sells out Bergermeer storage capacity

International energy company TAQA has sold the remaining 2 terawatt hours (TWh) for the 2016-17 storage year, offered in today’s gas storage auction at its Dutch Gas Storage Bergermeer facility.  All capacity for the current storage year has now been sold.

TAQA sold the available capacity with a cut-off fixed price of 2.50 €/SBU and a weighted average fixed price of 2.51 €/SBU.  There was no reserve price applicable.

Gas Storage Bergermeer is an underground gas storage facility with a capacity of 46 TWh (4.1 billion cubic metres).  It is operated by TAQA Gas Storage B.V. and is the largest open-access gas storage facility in Europe.
